Start in Marrakech with time to explore the old medina, then enjoy a guided discovery of the city’s icons: Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa El Fna Square. Continue south across the High Atlas via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping at the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before reaching the peaceful Dades Valley through the Valley of Roses.

Next, explore Todra Gorges and meet authentic nomads living in the area, then head to Merzouga for the highlight of the trip: a camel trek into the dunes, a magical sunset, dinner, campfire drums, and stargazing in a luxury desert camp. The following day, enjoy a 4WD desert adventure to visit the Gnawa community of Khamlia, and relax at your hotel by the pool.

From the Sahara, travel north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas forests to reach Fes. Enjoy a guided tour of the ancient medina, including its historic university and famous tanneries, then end the day with a cooking experience in a local family home. Finally, return to Marrakech for optional Majorelle Gardens and a traditional hammam before your departure.

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Meet your personal driver at Marrakech airport for a short transfer to your hotel. Check-in, take a short rest, then start discovering the old city. Optional dinner in the main square.

Day 2: Marrakech Guided City Discovery

After breakfast, meet your local guide and explore Marrakech’s highlights: Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa El Fna Square.

Day 3: Marrakech → Dades (High Atlas & Ait Ben Haddou)

Drive south across the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Lunch stop at Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO). Continue through the Valley of Roses to reach Dades.

Day 4: Dades → Merzouga (Todra Gorges + Camel Trek)

Start with Todra Gorges for a 3-hour hike and an authentic encounter with nomads. If time allows, stop in Tinjdad to visit a Berber museum. Arrive in the Sahara, ride camels to the camp, climb the dunes for sunset, then enjoy dinner, drumming around the fire, and stargazing.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert Discovery (4WD + Khamlia)

Enjoy the dunes in the morning, then take a 4WD excursion to visit the Gnawa community in Khamlia. Continue exploring the desert and surrounding communities. Afternoon relaxation by the pool at your hotel.

Day 6: Merzouga → Fes (Sunrise + Ziz Valley)

Early sunrise from the Erg Chebbi dunes, breakfast, then drive north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas forests. Possible stop to see macaques if you’re lucky. Arrive in Fes and check in at your riad.

Day 7: Fes Guided Tour + Cooking Experience

Enjoy a guided city tour of Fes: royal palace entrance, panoramic viewpoints, traditional ceramics, Fes El Bali, Al Karaouine, madrasa, and the famous tannery. End the day cooking dinner in a local family home.

Day 8: Return to Marrakech (Optional Majorelle & Hammam)

Drive back to Marrakech with breaks for coffee and lunch. Optional visit to Majorelle Gardens, and optional hammam to relax after the long drive. Rest and get ready for your flight.
